On Tuesday, September 18th, 2018, S&ME presented an update to the CRA Board on the status of the Community Redevelopment Agency Plan Update, and proposed an area for the expansion of the CRA. The CRA Board discussed the boundary proposed by S&ME and revised the area to be included in the Findings of Necessity Study necessary to expand the Redevelopment Area. On June 26, 2018 the S&ME Team met with City of Pinellas Park Staff to kick off the 8-month Pinellas Park Redevelopment Plan Update process. The Pinellas Park Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Staff led a guided tour of the Redevelopment Area pointing out CRA accomplishments, discussing existing programming, and identifying areas of special concern. Following the tour, the S&ME Team and CRA staff had several one-on-one meetings with CRA business owners, residents and stakeholders, that were identified by City Staff, to discuss their perspectives on the Community Redevelopment Agency accomplishments, successes, and the remaining challenges for the Pinellas Park CRA. That same evening, the S&ME Team presented before City Council the Community Redevelopment Plan Update process that will take place over the coming months. |
